In 2002, because of continued growth, the church purchased the former Sunrise Musical Theater in Sunrise, Florida. In 1994 the church purchased a shopping plaza in Lauderhill, Florida as the need for more space became evident. Six years later in 1991, along with his wife, Carol, Fernandez founded the Plantation Worship Center (now The Faith Center) with only 11 members and began holding services in a local elementary school cafeteria.
